In all fairness, both Obama and Roberts together trashed the oath. However, the real trashing was served up by Reverend Joseph Lowery.
Benediction at Obama 's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery: 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. Even Bush can get the oath of office right. Time to put Bush back in charge until we get a leader, not this media invention. This FRAUD. This empty suited "Messiah".
I am white and I voted for Obama and I feel demeaned by Lowery's so-called benediction.
It makes me want to scrub the filth off.
I'm confused. Is this the best we have to offer or the worst we can expect?
Flubbing the oath, Har. That was just the ghost of Lincoln showing his disgust at the whole thing.
Let's see, it's been three hours since he took the oath and the DJI has dropped about 100 points an hour so far.
