Obama Congratulated by a Whole 9 World Leaders (Dissed by the Rest)
Drive-by hack and wanna-be journalist Nedra Pickler, writing in an AP story today, breathlessly reported that President-elect Obama accepted congratulations, eh ... ah, ... eh ... from nine, ... eh ... presidents and prime ministers Thursday, returning calls from world leaders who phoned after his presidential victory. The leaders who called were all on friendly terms with the Bush administration, and with the U.S. in general, and are staunch military allies.
However, the president of Russia didn't call, nor did the president or Iran, nor did the president of Venezuela... you get the drift?
This non-event reminds me of how so many of the truly powerful in the world respect strong leaders and regard with contempt weak leaders.
