Pelosi Admits Lying to Public About Ending War

The Hill reports House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Congress cannot end the war in Iraq without President Bush’s approval.
Voters, she told Fox News Sunday, “want it to end and they had expectations that Congress could end it.”

But, she added, “You know we can’t without a presidential signature.”
In essence, Pelosi is admitting that Democrats lied about ending the war when they ran in `06. If Congressional Democrats know they can't end the war now, they surely knew they couldn't end the war when they made the election promise to do so.
